2004: “We had complete brake failure and the brake peddle went right to the floor. We have a workhorse p32 and I had to apply the e brake to stop the rv. We had it towed to a ford truck shop and found out the brake calipers and all other components were either burnt or cracked. This sure doesn't seem right to me since there was a recall on the workhorse w series and not the p series!”

2005: “Recall made december 2005 to repair/replace actia instrument cluster (bulletin #8051-ia, replaces 80201-I, dated march 2002). Have had motor home at repair shop since october, 2012 & have not been able to get workhorse (navistar) customer service to correct the fault. Keep getting promise, weekly, with no result. Have written Winnebago & workhorse (navistar) on other problems and get no help from either. This motor home cost $86,000 new and they refuse to correct a fault that might cost them less than $1,000 (my guess). …”

NHTSA complaint #10500969, filed 2013-03, 16,000 miles

2003: “Preparing to go camping, I started my Winnebago Sightseer and positioned it to attach my towed vehicle. I shut off the engine at that point. After completing the hitching procedure, I attempted to start my rv. It would not start. After having the vehicle towed to a local truck dealership, they found that the ignition switch and one connector was burnt. They called Winnebago and found that there was an update relay harness for this problem which they ordered an installed. …”
