When I asked the service writer about it he discouraged me from having the problem addressed or corrected because they would have to remove the dash to resolve the problem and it might cause other problems and rattling like I was also experiencing with the passenger door. …”

The air bags did not deploy and the headrest detached from the seat. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard where it was deemed destroyed. A police report was filed. There were three injuries that required medical attention. The contact suffered from neck and back injuries. The passenger was pregnant and the extent of her injuries were unknown. The rear passenger injured his shoulder, back, and neck. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000. …”
