Example complaints

Air bags: “Takata recall. My daughter's car is register in oh ( with her mom) but she spent 4 years at clemson university in south carolina ( hot climate ) and the next 3 at university of virginia in charlottesville va. So ohio is probably not considered hot and humid, and a lower priority for air bag parts, but my daughter's car has been in a hot humid southern climate. I guess this is a. Loophole in the priority selection process. What can I do”

NHTSA complaint #10681671, filed 2015-02, 70,000 miles

Engine: “While driving the engine indicator light came on. I took the car to a reputable garage who informed me that the piece that controls the pressure to the turbo malfunctioned and caused the car to use too much boost. This particular piece could not be replaced and as such, the entire turbo assembly needed replacement. The car only has 80k miles and has been regularly maintained.”

NHTSA complaint #11030734, filed 2017-10, 80,000 miles
