“Acura TSX 2009 - mileage 3949 - purchased car less than 6 months before. On the freeway, left front door window shattered. I did not hear or see anything hit the window. Dealer said it could not happen on it's own. I do not agree.”
NHTSA complaint #10319455, filed 2010-03, 3,949 miles“While driving to work on route 80 in paterson, nj on 8/5/13, I heard a loud pop that sounded like a gun and looked up to see the sunroof has shattered on my 2009 Acura TSX for no reason. It was a clear sunny day and there were no cars around me. I called Acura's corporate office they are denying any responsibility an said something must have hit it even thought there was no one in front of me or around me, I was on a clear stretch of highway. This is a manufacturing defect and a safety hazard, I need your assistance to get resolution. …”
NHTSA complaint #10533825, filed 2013-08, 75,000 miles“As I was driving on the freeway, I glanced over to my passenger and noticed something vibrating outside the front windshield. I pulled over and got out of the car to examine what it was. The molding around the passenger side of the windshield had come loose and was waving in the wind. Luckily, it was still partially attached. I drove directly to an Acura dealer who said the tape and clips holding the molding on had come loose...probably from the heat in arizona where I live). …”
