2012: “While I was driving, the power steering malfunctioned and I almost got into a car accident as I could not turn my car. I was lucky but my life could have been in serious danger because of Acura. This is not a very old car and does not have a lot of mileage. The car had to be towed to a mechanic and said it would cost $1850 to fix. Ridiculous.”
NHTSA complaint #11322496, filed 2020-04, 135,000 miles2013: “My 2013 Acura TSX eps system went out and I bought a new one through Acura and installed it myself and come to find out it did not work, same error is occurring. Dash is say check power steering system and same code pops up for the eps module. Will be contacting the dealer I purchased from to get replacement. Supposedly it has a 1yr manufactures warranty”
NHTSA complaint #11203833, filed 2019-04, 134,082 miles2011: “Steering system fails intermittently. Eps warning light comes on and the car becomes uncontrollable in the highway and very hard to maneuver in the parking lot. This is extremely scary situation. I was glad I was able to exit the freeway and stop the car at a safe location. Electronic power steering module (eps) is failing.”
