Example complaints

Steering: “Steering system fails intermittently. Eps warning light comes on and the car becomes uncontrollable in the highway and very hard to maneuver in the parking lot. This is extremely scary situation. I was glad I was able to exit the freeway and stop the car at a safe location. Electronic power steering module (eps) is failing.”

NHTSA complaint #11241037, filed 2019-08, 105,000 miles

Air bags: “Takata recall. After a stop and go in traffic there is a hesitation when pressing on the gas pedal. After the computer is reset it's fine for a couple weeks.”

NHTSA complaint #11052750, filed 2017-12, 40,000 miles

Brakes: “On three occasions 2011 Acura TSX breaks have failed while driving, causing me to have to use my emergency break in order to avoid accident. I attempted to slow down while going off the highway exit and pushed on breaks only to find the break pedal was extremely stiff and would not move no matter how hard I pushed on it... After few minutes, the breaks started working normally. The vehicle was pre-warmed for at least 15 min before driving every time. …”

NHTSA complaint #10836271, filed 2016-02, 37,000 miles

Engine: “Steering wheel clicks when I turn and when I start my car up after letting it sit for a couple of hours, it makes a rattle sound in the engine. The rattle sound is the sound a engine make when the oil is low or not getting to the pistons.”
