“I was driving about 45 MPH when my car came to a complete stall in the middle of a busy intersection. It was as if it abruptly ran out of gas. The diagnosis is that there was metal in the fuel system, which has to be completely replaced. I have researched the same problem, which has occurred with the tdi engine in the volkswagen jetta, passat and Audi 3.”

Unable to start, would crank but not start. Had to get towed. Next day added a gallon of gas, was able to start car, but immediately seen fuel spraying and leaking in engine, possibly from injectors, vacuum. Haven’t gotten repaired yet as I am trying to either have dealership fix issues or Audi due to known issues/recall. Hoping to receive some resolution to start repairs”
