“Turned on the car and within a few minutes smoke filled up the whole car. The smoke was coming from the rear wiper from the inside. Seems to be coming from the wiper motor but can't tell until I take the plastic cover off. Started smoking immediately every time I turned the car on, tested it a total of 3 times. Strange caramel colored residue left on the back window from the inside. Smells terrible. The car was stationary the whole tome and parked in a neighborhood. Surprised a fire didn't start because of the amount of smoke. …”

“Noticed that my pass. Side mirror would not adjust when using the switch or when I put the truck in reverse. I made an appointment with the dealership for the next week. After leaving my truck at the dealership for a week, I was informed that the mirror motor part had to be ordered and was not in stock. What? They held my truck for a week just to tell me to come back. So the next week I made another appointment and the motor was replaced and fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #10245521, filed 2008-10, 35,000 miles

“As many people have already registered complaints about, even with cleaning our sunroof drains regularly, the glue failed causing us to not only endure the expense of a well-documented issue with the vehicle, but now we have been without a stereo since we feel we are entitled to at least that much, however, Audi of america disagrees. Considering how many issues there have been with sunroof leaks in the past and the fact that this is an ongoing problem for Q7 owners, I feel, as many others do I'm sure, that this problem needs to be looked into further by the NHTSA.”

NHTSA complaint #10596118, filed 2014-06, 87,197 miles

“The contact owns a 2007 Audi Q7. The contact stated that the panoramic sun roof seal was leaking, causing water to drip onto the electrical wiring. The vehicle was not taken to local dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 190,000.”

NHTSA complaint #11403779, filed 2021-03, 190,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2007 Audi Q7. The contact could not see through the rearview mirror unless the rear seats were lowered or the headrests were removed. Visibility is zero when attempting to look through the rearview mirror with occupants in the rear seat. The dealer advised him to remove or lower the headrests. The current mileage was 3,290 and failure mileage was 1.”
