“After leaving work one day, my esp & ABS light came on. Everything was fine when I drove into work in the morning. The car was parked all day and the warning lights came on before I left the parking lot. The esp light shut off the next morning however the ABS light stays on constantly.”
NHTSA complaint #11129547, filed 2018-09, 113,000 miles“I was driving my Audi Q7 the 25th of august of 2010 in miami, fl when the brakes suddenly stopped working and I ran a couple red lights trying to stop the vehicle. In the mean time, I turned the drive shift to neutral position and I started pressing the brake pedal several times until it finally stopped the car slowly. I stopped in a safe place and I call Audi tow assistance, they came in about an hour to pick my vehicle up and took it to the dealership (prestige imports). …”
NHTSA complaint #10354853, filed 2010-09, 66,900 miles“Car stalled while driving on highway and esp/ABS light came on - was told by dealer will have to replace the entire ABS control module for $2800! To diagnose this took 2 days for the dealer and even then they are not 100% sure the replacement will fix the ABS issue. Have already paid 500+ in labor diagnosis!”
