“I left my car in my driveway for nearly 2 months without driving it over the winter months in new england. Upon starting the car on nicer weather, my steering wheel would not move. I can drive the car in a straight direction but the steering wheel just wouldn't budge. Had a Bmw dealership diagnose the issue and fingers were pointed at hitting a pothole that caused impact and therefore damaged 4 bolts holding the steering rack to the motor. …”

While driving approximately 40 MPH, there was a complete loss of power steering with an illumination of the power steering warning indicator. The contact applied significant force to the steering wheel in order to maneuver the wheel. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road where the engine was turned off. Upon restarting, the steering wheel functioned normally with the warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection where they advised the contact that the battery was low voltage. …”
