“To avoid a head on collision, I was forced off road. When I moved out of the way I immediately applied the breaks which then took some time to respond as if it was blocked or as if I didnt press the pedal. By the time I felt some sort of stopping tension I was put into a pole. Airbags did not deploy.”

NHTSA complaint #11298566, filed 2020-01, 58,000 miles

“I have had 4 car crashed quit this vehicle and neither time have the airbags deploy and I have became injured from the car crashes in my airbags never deployed, I can't hit a car from the front I have been hit from the back and neither airbags have deployed even a passenger got in on the site and that are back did not deploy either. My vehicle is in motion every time that I crashed or was crashed,”

NHTSA complaint #11338675, filed 2020-07, 75,000 miles

“I was about to park in a cul-de-sac going about 5 MPH, while I was half way through the cul-de-sac the Bmw 328d had a sudden acceleration and in a very high speed crashed into a tree. I do not recall the exact speed when it crashed but it was very high, it felt and sounded like a race car. My foot was on the break right when it accelerated. It seems like a major mechanical / electrical problem with this car. Called Bmw hq to report the issue. A case manager has been assigned but no one contacted me yet.”

NHTSA complaint #10579413, filed 2014-04, 6,000 miles

“Fault in airbag on screen, comes on and off. Started around 61,513 miles. Exact message fault in airbag, belt rensioner or belt-force limiter. Few days later, check engine comes on, along with high RPM's, while struggling to accelerate. 12/10/2018 engine is extremely loud and dropping off at dealer. Also back tail lights have moisture, back passenger was replaced a year ago. Driver side now needs replacing.”

NHTSA complaint #11160759, filed 2018-12, 61,533 miles

“Takata recall -- 1.4 years is long enough!!!!! Lack of information from Bmw, dealer has no information on when they will be replaced. Middle of 2016 they said early spring of 2017 and still no information. Pleasee help, this is why NHTSA exists to protect consumers and put pressure on the big manufacturers to fix serious safety issues. We served 52+ years between the two of us in the military and don't choose to be severely injured by an airbag in a luxury vehicle that might spray shrapnel.”
