2015: “Improper plating on fuel pump may result in stall - which it happened to me on the highway. Called Bmw and they said no recall on my car, but when you look up a 2015 435I, it shows it has that recall. Bmw wanted to charge me for a diagnostic, when I feel they should take it as a recall. My first problem with Bmw, and they don't seem to care.”

2016: “I was driving my vehicle in dallas, tx and multiple times the car engine & all power shut off, and the car shifted itself into neutral. I suspect there is an issue with the auto stop/start feature or something more. A car should never shift itself into reverse when you are driving. Both times almost caused an accident on the freeway as the car came to a sudden halt and I had no control with it shifting into n. The Bmw dealership & Bmw are claiming nothing is wrong. …”

NHTSA complaint #11096753, filed 2018-05, 30,500 miles

2014: “My vehicle has 64,000 miles and I was exiting the driveway and accelerating up to 45mph when all the sudden I encountered a complete loss of power with sounded like a bang in the engine. My car immediately slowed down to under 30mph and started shaking. Luckily I was only 2 minutes from my house. I believe this part should be recalled because looking at all the complaints with other owners they have the same problem this is a plastic piece that under where in tear and pressure which is designed for it is failing. …”
