2012: “The vehicle lost power, while in motion, in the middle of the road after accelerating. The car gave an error code of drivetrain malfunction. My car lost power in the middle of a busy city street, and it could have easily LED to a terrible accident. Possibly related to NHTSA campaign number: 16v746000 but my car was not included in the recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11366619, filed 2020-10, 120,000 miles2014: “On my morning commute on the highway (approx 70-75 MPH) I heard a loud bang right on top of the car, as if a cinder block had been dropped straight from above. Shortly after I heard glass shards crumbling and then visibly saw the same immediately after. Once I parked, the sunroof had completely shattered. No evidence of fallen debris or external object was observed.”
NHTSA complaint #11308385, filed 2020-02, 83,000 miles2008: “When I attempted to install new low beam, high beam, and angel eye bulbs I discovered that all the protective coating on the wires inside the headlight assembly was missing or crumbling off. These exposed wires are a certain fire hazard. Any attempt to repair the wire coating resulted in more coating crumbling off, exposing yet more of the wire.”
