2023: “2023 BMWiX with sudden acceleration issue upon parking. Vehicle has been subject to recall for unintended activation of cruise control upon parking and a software update was supposedly issued by BMW and yet this occurred to me today causing front end collision and lots of damage to my car. Not hurt nor were others but certainly could have been.”

NHTSA complaint #11689535, filed 2025-09

2024: “I put the auto reverse on and the car ran into a wall. I tried to discuss with bmw and they stated the car performed appropriately and they are stating I had to take over when it ran into the wall. I couldn’t react fast enough as the car ran into the wall quickly. They have since said they will not take responsibility for the accident.”

NHTSA complaint #11569633, filed 2024-02

2025: “UNINTENDED ACCELERATION The car accelerated unintentionally at 25 mph just before a red light at an intersection. It simultaneously started a bonging alarm, and showed a large red triangle on the dash telling us to pull over and to not drive the car thank God we were able to do before the intersection as we would have crossed a busy intersection at 30mph while we had a red light!!”
