2023 BMW X7 Technical Service Bulletins
180 technical service bulletins (TSBs) are on record for the 2023 BMW X7. TSBs are notes manufacturers send to dealers about repair procedures for issues seen in the field. They are not recalls and do not by themselves mean a vehicle has a fault.
- 10230737Dec 1, 2022Electrical system. "Driver Assistance Reduced" check control message (CCM) appears.
- 10230735Dec 1, 2022Body and structure. Uneven ambient lighting emission (bright spots/dark spots) on the door trim panel.
- 10230732Dec 1, 2022Steering. The saved steering column positions, vertical and horizontal, are not stored long term.
- 10230730Dec 1, 2022Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors). When starting the vehicle remotely, the radiator blind of the active air flap control remains closed. This results in inadequate climate control in the vehicle interior.
- 10230727Dec 1, 2022Engine cooling. BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective December 21, 2022) on a small number of Model Year 2023BMW X7 SAV vehicles that were produced between September 1, 2022 and December 3, 2022. An engine heat shield may have been inadvertently installed on potentially affected vehicles.
- 10230724Dec 1, 2022Engine cooling. Coolant leaking from the engine compartment. Traces of coolant leaking from the expansion tank of the low temperature cooling system.
- 10230722Dec 1, 2022Transmission and drivetrain. After an automatic engine start (MSA start), the transmission intermittently goes into the Park "P" or Neutral "N" position without any customer influence.
- 10225127Sep 1, 2022Lane departure. The Lane Change Warning (LCW) yellow triangle symbol on either one, or both the exterior side view mirrors does not illuminate to alert the driver when it should.
- 10225126Sep 1, 2022Equipment. Vehicle cannot be opened or closed using comfort access, engine start is not possible, and the vehicle may not start when placing the key against the steering column.
- 10225125Sep 1, 2022Exterior lighting. Usage of the high-beam assistant is not possible.
- 10225124Sep 1, 2022Electrical system. After updating dealer owned vehicles to software 22-07-5XX, many current BMW customers and previous Demo users may receive emails stating that they are linked to BMW vehicles they do not own. Also, many users of the MyBMW app may find additional vehicles in their "My Garage" tab that they do not recognize.
- 10225123Sep 1, 2022Body and structure. There is potential ingress via the roof antenna housing.
- 10225120Sep 1, 2022Exterior lighting. When activating the turn signal function, the low beam/cornering light will flicker.
- 10225115Sep 1, 2022Electrical system. Customer is unable to power up or charge accessories through a plug adapter inserted in the front 12-volt power socket plug. Alternatively, it will only operate when constant downward hand pressure is maintained.
- 10225114Sep 1, 2022Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors). The front sunroof glass seal has shrunk, creating a gap which can cause wind noise or excess water entry.
- 10225113Sep 1, 2022Seats. The passenger's side (right rear) of the 60/40 split 2nd row seat may intermittently not fully latch into position on one side (inner rail).
- 10225111Sep 1, 2022Seats. When returning the 2nd row seat 60% (left) side from Easy-Entry: The seat stops moving before reaching the final home position, a check control message (CCM) appears alerting the customer that the seat back is unlocked.
- 10225110Sep 1, 2022Seats. The driver's side (left rear) of the 60/40 split 2nd row seat may intermittently not fully latch into position on one side (inner rail).
- 10225108Sep 1, 2022Tires. Loss of tire pressure with corresponding Check Control Message.
- 10224212Aug 1, 2022Electrical system. Driver Assistance reduced checked control message (CCM) appears. All or some of the system functions maybe inoperative. The following fault will be stored: 481CC6.
- 10224210Aug 1, 2022Equipment. The sound output intermittently drops out entirely. This can be reproduced with all audio sources as well as telephone and voice output.
- 10224198Aug 1, 2022Brakes, Fuel system, Engine cooling. Symptom 1: There are traces of coolant leaking under the vehicle, or there is significant pressure released along with coolant loss when opening the low temperature cooling system reservoir (engine cold).
- 10224196Aug 1, 2022Equipment. Programming of various modules will provide quality improvements and system robustness to: Valet parking mode, accessed via the Center Information Display (CID) app System Settings. Voice commands, actuated using the microphone button on the steering wheel's right spoke (arrow). Driver Assistance Systems, accessed via the CID app Driving Settings.
- 10218420Jul 1, 2022Electrical system, Equipment. The 3G network in the US has been shut down. This means that only the 4G network will be available. In the 4G network, voice calls will be transferred via Voice over LTE (VoLTE) function. For this purpose the SIM card must perform an IMS registration in the mobile communication network. Due to a production error, the telematics control units were delivered without an IMS configuration.
- 10218419Jul 1, 2022Electrical system, Equipment. The incorrect Bluetooth module was installed in the headunit. Bluetooth functionality cannot be guaranteed, and mobile phones may possibly not be paired via Bluetooth.

- 10218379Jun 1, 2022Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors). The air conditioning cycles from cold to warm air while driving or while at a stand still. The vent outlet temperatures vary by 25 degrees Fahrenheit or more (38 F to 60 F +) without changing any climate control settings. In some cases the air conditioning may have stopped blowing cold air altogether.
- 10218372Jun 1, 2022Equipment. The following LIN faults for electric door sunshade may be present in the BDC fault memory.
