“I was told this car has rear cross traffic warning when I ordered it from our local BMW dealer. After several close calls in parking lots, I took it into the dealer because it doesn't work like any of our other vehicles (Mercedes). I was told by the dealer that you have to be actively backing up and the car has to be immediately behind you in a very close proximity to the car before it will even alert you. There doesn't seem any active braking either. When you do a search on this issue with BMW's, it is a very common complaint of BMW owners. …”
