Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Gas gauge wasn't working on my 2011 Buick Enclave especially when weather was cold. Gas gauge would show less than was in the tank. Happened once or twice in 2012, but I thought it was a fluke. Then, several times in winter of 2013- so, I finally took it in dec 2013 after getting a message in the car of a sensor failure. They quoted $517.27 to fix it and said they didn't have time that day. Took back in early jan. Warranty just expired by 3000 miles, so I argued it should be covered. Dealership made me pay $100 towards it. They replaced the fuel level sensor. …”

“Air conditioning would run but not cool/cold. A/c high pressure hose ass'y had to be replaced, leaking. One of the fenders had to be removed to do repair. Cost $466.00.”

NHTSA complaint #10632820, filed 2014-09, 62,500 miles

“The contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle began to overheat. He then discovered that engine antifreeze was leaking all over the engine and hood because the fans were still operating. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the radiator was puncture and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The VIN was not available. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 11,000.”
