“2016 Buick Enclave had a service airbag light/message illuminated on dashboard continuously. I brought the vehicle into the dealership for a diagnostic test & the issue is the wiring harness for the passenger side airbag. When the technician moves the wiring harness the light comes & goes. Additionally, I found service bulletins talking about the same problem for various GM products.”

NHTSA complaint #11240442, filed 2019-07, 51,000 miles

“We were involved in a motor vehicle accident on I-79 in pennsylvania where we were struck from the rear we were stopped in traffic the impact was severe it knocked the rear tire completely off. There was smoke coming in the vents of the front of the car and the air bags did not deploy. The front passenger seat belts tighten up so much that it caused bruising on my chest and ribs. My car was totaled out beyond repair. I do not understand why there was smoke coming from the front and the air bags did not deploy. …”

NHTSA complaint #11114255, filed 2018-07, 13,000 miles

“I was informed of the active airbag recall on my vehicle when it was taken in on 1/26/24 to have diagnostic work done on the AC. The GM repair center would not repair the vehicle. Every person and agency I have spoken to has refused to help me because there is currently no remedy available. If there is no remedy, my airbag should simply be replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #11568801, filed 2024-01

“Received recall notice and have been waiting ever since for GM to actually follow through with the recall. They don’t seem to care and I have two vehicles that falls under the recall. How the government hasn’t stepped up knowing that this issue can cause death is beyond me. What’s the point of a national recall if the manufacture isn’t forced to do something about the recall? No more GM products in my future.”

NHTSA complaint #11568140, filed 2024-01

“My airbags were recalled May 10, 2023 and I have been trying to get them replaced under recall # 23V334 for over a year now and am continously told that the part is on backorder.”
