“Break in wiring circuit on passenger side door , from water leaking into the electric system of the door. Also rear compartment fuse block over heated and burnt. Need recall information for this problem, as we paid $1116.54 to repair this problem for our grandsons car.”

NHTSA complaint #10682476, filed 2015-02, 119,224 miles

“Car keeps stalling out (at light, while driving, etc) with the cause apparently attributed to a faulty ignition switch. I had the ignition switch replaced (for a charge of $496) at midway Cadillac in pokomoke md (after having car towed there on feb 14, 2014, because at that time, had difficulty even getting the key in the ignition switch). The problem I was having with it stalling out persists, even after the new ignition switch. …”

NHTSA complaint #10568981, filed 2014-03, 81,000 miles

“The dashboard is literally falling down in to your legs and feet. I had a large piece fall on my legs and feet while driving. I have never had any work done on the car where they have to remove the dashboard. There are pieces of black plastic that fall out of the dashboard area all the time. I have had to tape the light switches into place with duct tape. And the radio and A/C control area I have proped up with a shelf bracket to try and hold it in place. The vehicle was in motion on a county road when the large piece fell down.”

NHTSA complaint #11218884, filed 2019-06, 115,000 miles

“The engine suddenly stops running while driving with no apparent warning. At that point it is almost impossible to steer and you must stop the car and restart the engine. I have had repeated problems with this and have heard of other Cadillac Deville owners having this problem. I had my car in to the dealer for the problem last week and it happened to me again today.”

NHTSA complaint #10062765, filed 2004-03, 94,500 miles

“My car failed to start. On checking battery, located under rear passenger seat, I discovered the battery was badly corroded. The battery sits directly on the floor pan beneath passenger seat. On removing the battery I discovered the corrosion had eaten through the floor resulting in a hole one inch in diameter. I had the floor pan repaired and had rinocoat sprayed on to prevent future problems. I feel GM should put a plastic tray under the battery to prevent this problem.”
