“I brought my vehicle to a Cadillac dealership for repair from recall 14v355. The dealership refused to repair my vehicle because I did not have both keys to my car. I informed the dealership that I lost my 2nd key 7-8 years ago. The dealership returned my car without repair.”

NHTSA complaint #10691299, filed 2015-03, 108,000 miles

“I was driving down a city street at about 35 MPH when all of the power to the car went dead. The engine went dead, all the dash lights went off, the power steering was gone, I pulled over to the side of the road. This happened within the first 3 months of my owning this car and still happens frequently, at least once every third time I drive the car. I have taken the car to several shops but they have never been able to locate the problem. …”

“Window in front door and other doors jump off track and drop down. If hale storm, or heavy rain this could impair drivers ability to operate safely. Cadillac has many complaints due to this after I investigated it. I have 2 doors at present with windows broke. Please advise what I can do and expect gmc to do.”

NHTSA complaint #10362568, filed 2010-10, 122,000 miles

“2000 Cadillac Deville dts has the vehicle battery under the rear passenger seat. I was replacing the factory battery in august 2006 after purchasing the vehicle from a private party. There was powdered acid accumulated under and around the battery, near the positive terminal. The battery acid has corroded the metal of the car body, resulting in a through and through hole in the car. I will have this repaired by a body shop. I have been told by another Cadillac Deville owner, 2001 model, that this is a common problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10166274, filed 2006-08, 55,314 miles

“Vehicle stalled on the highway five (5) times over three years regardless of speed. Dealer informed consumer the crankshaft sensor needed to be replaced. The dealer remained working on the vehicle and was uncertain about the sensor being the problem. The wiring harness was replaced. The vehicle seemed to run.”
