“I have contacted Cadillac customer service regarding my steering wheel smoking and burning a hole in the leather when I use the heated steering wheel feature. They are claiming that it is the result of normal wear and tear which I find absurd. The dealer representative stated to me that in the 10 years he's been working on GM cars, he has never seen this happen. Also, the dealer charged me to replace all four internal door handles after the metal degraded and started cutting our hands. Apparently, other escalades were covered under a recall but not my VIN. …”

“The engine mount has been replaced three times and keeps braking, I can't afford to keep paying to replace it every six months, my mechanic says its been misdesigned, because the engine is too strong, he also said that it is a common problem for all of the vehicles with that size engine, my concern is, what is going to happen if I don't replace it anymore and it completely brakes? Should this happens when I'm trying to cross a road with lots of traffic and I need to speed, I will be stranded in the middle of the road and be hit by another car? …”

NHTSA complaint #11110620, filed 2018-07

“Takata recall I received a notification to file a claim. I contact the dealership and they said that I would need to contact takata and have them handle it.”

NHTSA complaint #11056816, filed 2017-12

“Cracked dash - the dash is cracked and every model 2007-2011 that was made has a cracked dash. The new replacement dashes from GM now have reinforcements that the original equipment do not have. In the event that the air bag is deployed it would cause the plastic dash to fly around the driver and passenger compartment causing possibly fatal wounds!”

NHTSA complaint #10897185, filed 2016-08

“The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated that the check air bag indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, but the results were unknown. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 118,000. Updated 10/22/14 the consumer stated the power/heated seats, door handles(3), wheel bearings, shocks and struts, brakes, headlights, traction control, and engine all have failed and were repaired. There was also rust that recurred after it was repaired. …”
