“Took my car in for an alignment and new tires (tires were smooth on the outside after 24k miles), and was told the service could not be performed as all 4 rims were severly out of round. My option was to replace all four rims, about $2300, or have an after market company come to the dealership and repair on site for $600.”

First off, my 2013 XTS platinum has been a problem since I bought it. After driving about a year I had a severe shimmy and vibration in the wheels that scared the hell out of me. Took it in and was told all 4 wheels were damaged and needed to be replaced, ted robinson went to bat for me and got them replaced ($3400) by Cadillac. Flash forward another year, severe shimmy same issue-4 more bad wheels. I was told that potholes were bad this year. …”

The tires are vogue m&s 245/40r20 99vxl and we believe they are a major safety problem. A few months ago the front tires had a major vibration issue so I took the car in for service and had it checked out. The dealer stated that I had a bad tire and that I would need to buy another one which I paid $100.00 for. The rims started to peel and the dealer stated that the rims are not under a warranty. …”
NHTSA complaint #10667826, filed 2014-12, 14,963 miles“The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac XTS. While driving various speeds, the vehicle vibrated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that all four rims were bent. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 28,676.”
