“On feb 4th, 2004 the service engine light came on so I took the Blazer to the dealership(bert greenwald) to find out what was going on. I was told that the air line & valve air pump assembly needed to be replaced. It's now may 4th, 2004 and I am still waiting for the part to come in. Each time I inquire about it, I am told that general motors doesnt want them to order the part until they come up with a plan to deal with this problem since it seems to be occurring very frequently. …”
NHTSA complaint #10068272, filed 2004-05, 5,100 miles“I am pregnant and very scared to drive this vehicle again. I was told by rick, service manager, toni hall at flow Chevrolet a year ago that this 4x2 and 4x4 wheel drive was corrected while under warranty. They refused to fix the major problem and changed out a switch. During this whole year I haven't been able to drive comfortablly. Now they have had to replace the whole front end. A brand new car now with only 39,000 miles. The noise is terrifying and I've been insulted by GM with a loyalty incentive for $700 to take off on a new vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #10106173, filed 2005-01, 31,002 miles“The gas pedal hangs up on the floor carpet (the wear strip integrated into the carpet that is under the gas pedal and wraps up along the side of the transmission tunnel) when the gas pedal is pressed all the way to the floor. The shaft that the gas pedal is attached to has part of it sticking out past the gas pedal and has a sharp edge that snags the edge of the wear strip. The carpet is not worn, it is in great shape, and is only getting damaged when the gas pedal snags the carpet wear strip. It has happened about a dozen times in the past 5 years. …”
NHTSA complaint #10334160, filed 2010-06, 212,000 miles“After pulling into the parking lot of work, I was getting out of the vehicle and the spring that was attached to the truck door just fell off and on the ground. Now, as the time is passing the interior light doesn't work and the electrical panel on the driver's door is getting worse. I can only lock the driver's door from the outside and the alarm goes off everytime I open the door. I have to keep slamming it to make the door completely close. I haven't been to anyone yet because I believe this will be a big expense.”
NHTSA complaint #10215712, filed 2008-01“I purchased my vehicle in 4/01 and seven months later I began experiencing a host of problems with my vehicle, starting with multifunction switch worn, then hood hinges worn, exhaust (muffler broken) right speaker inoperable, left front seat adjuster broken, grill assembly loose, brake pedal broken and finally transmission failure (needs replacing). I have done a bit of inquiring to other chevy Blazer owners and found out that they have or had experience some if not all of the same problems that I am experiencing now. …”
