“While driving down the road approaching a stop light my wife tried to stop and the brakes just made that ABS buzzing noise and was not stopping. This was caused by the wheel bearing ABS sensor being bad not the wheel bearing itself this should not be able to happen as it is a danger/accident waiting to happen!”

NHTSA complaint #10442802, filed 2012-01, 156,466 miles

“I had to have the driveshaft in my 1999 chevy Blazer replaced in march 2011. Exactly one week later my son was driving to school cayuga-onondaga boces in aurban when the drive shaft fell out causing the Blazer entire rear-end to seize up throwing the vehicle almost making my son go down over the bridge. The school came and towed him back and looked at it' the bolt that holds the driveshaft in was not there, as if they forgot to tighten it or forget to put it on all together. There is no evidence that the bolt was pulled off or broken, you can clearly see by the treads. …”

NHTSA complaint #10394422, filed 2011-04

“The air conditioning compressor was replaced by the dealer on friday june 25. After the repair the vehicle was driven approximately 20 miles that day. On the following day the vehicle was driven an additional 25 miles and returned home. After leaving the vehicle parked in my driveway, I was summoned from my home by a neighbor who reported that the vehicle was on fire. We extinguished the fire in the engine compartment and had the dealer remove the vehicle for repair. The dealer informed me that the fire was not caused by their repair. …”

NHTSA complaint #710300, filed 1999-08

“The airbags did not deploy. This caused injury to the driver chest. This should need to be fixed asap by GM. I will never purchase a chevy again. Airbags that do not deploy when you hit head on and roll should not be allowed.”

NHTSA complaint #10049340, filed 2003-12

“The air conditioner has failed repeatedly since about 35,000 miles; simon motors, an authorized Chevrolet dealership and service center, has repaired it four times. They report there is a leak somewhere in the system and that it is leaking freeon (sp?) but they cannot find it. Most recently, they replaced the compressor, but the problem persists. After running cool for a time, the air conditioner begins blowing hot air. This is usually accompanied by a concentration of moisture in the air inside the vehicle, often with a foul odor. Are we in danger of any toxic exposure from this leak? …”
