“I have a 2001 Blazer that keeps popping up a check engine light codes.I.e p0301,p0753,p0756,p0758. I have had these parts replaced twice in the last few months. Mechanic said it was related to the electrical system. The codes come back after driving for about 100 miles.”

“My 2001 chevy Blazer stop lights are not operable due to a known GM recall 08v231000 however they are not willing to fix this without me paying up front. Loss of the brake lights and turn signals have made my vehicle inoperable. There is a short in the switch that cause smoke to come from the steering column as well.”

NHTSA complaint #10328240, filed 2010-04, 78,000 miles

“Electrical problems and door problems - I bought my Blazer when it was 2 years old with 8300 miles on it. With about 13000 miles on it the vehicle would not stay running and the battery gauge was under 9. I got the vehicle started and drove to the dealership. They replaced the alternator. They would not cover a loaner or rental since I was able to drive the car to the dealership. If I would have had it towed they would have covered a rental. 2 weeks later same problem repeated. …”

NHTSA complaint #10052832, filed 2004-01, 17,400 miles

“I was in a drive through which looped around the building. I applied the brake to stop at the window and could feel the ABS engage and the vehicle did not want to stop. It scared me and of course I reapplied the brake quickly, to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me, and I was finally able to stop. This happened again a few weeks later at a large intersection at a red light. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and was pretty scared. I have heard several of these complaints and I know that the brakes on every year before this were recalled. …”

NHTSA complaint #10184068, filed 2007-03, 75,000 miles

“I am pregnant and very scared to drive this vehicle again. I was told by rick, service manager, toni hall at flow Chevrolet a year ago that this 4x2 and 4x4 wheel drive was corrected while under warranty. They refused to fix the major problem and changed out a switch. During this whole year I haven't been able to drive comfortablly. Now they have had to replace the whole front end. A brand new car now with only 39,000 miles. The noise is terrifying and I've been insulted by GM with a loyalty incentive for $700 to take off on a new vehicle. …”
