“When I shift the car into park and turn it off I get a message that it isn’t in park though it is as displayed on the console. To clear the message I have to move the shifter back and forward several times. I’ve had it in the shop twice already but the problem continues to return. This should be a recall!!”

NHTSA complaint #11637369, filed 2025-01

“Shift To Park message displays while vehicle is already in Park! Incident began increasing in frequency in late 2022 . Vehicle would not Shut Off! Bulletin on problem came out in 2019, Chevy did not inform me of this Safety issue , Grandchildren in vehicle at least 2 times . Chevy charged me for the fix , Chevy was aware of problem before warranty expired !”

NHTSA complaint #11503279, filed 2023-01

“I am currently receiving a shift to park message displayed while my vehicle has been put in park and after I turn the vehicle off. While the message is displayed, the doors will not lock and a bell will not stop dinging, notifying me of the error. I have to start the vehicle, shift into gear, shift into park, and turn off several times before the error disappears. I have an appointment to have the dealer look at it this week.”
