“When I use the brakes and the air is on the car will not stop like it should. It keeps moving. I looked this up and it shows there is a recall on the brake booster vacuum pipe but because my VIN number doesn't match what you have predetermined that will have faulty parts chevy says my car doesn't have a recall. How exactly do you predict what cars will have faulty parts?”

NHTSA complaint #11210493, filed 2019-05, 116,000 miles

“I've noticed this problem getting worse over the last month. When I'm backing up, I have to push really hard on the break peddle to get the car to come to a stop. Then today I started having the same problem while in drive and coming to a stop at a stop sign. I think the break booster or some component in the breaking system is faulty. Ive heard of a lot of other people having the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11340053, filed 2020-07, 149,000 miles

“As I'm driving in the city of atlanta georgia my car chevy Cruze 2012 has many issues as the car being in motion as I press the brakes to come to a stop the brakes pressure gets and do not stop I found out did I have to tap on the gas again and then press the brake to get it to comply sort of scary almost causing a wreck every time”

NHTSA complaint #11150359, filed 2018-11, 130,000 miles

“While parallel parking on a city street, brakes became unresponsive and I almost hit another car. I have had to have the brake booster pump replaced twice in two years and now it needs to be replaced again but dealer won't acknowledge that there is a known issue and because it is not involved in a recall, why I do not know, I must pay out of pocket. 3 booster pumps in 2 years but no recall???”

NHTSA complaint #11113184, filed 2018-07, 57,000 miles

“Was backing out of my parking spot in apartment complex, brake assist failed to engage hard to stop required a lot of [unexpected] pressure on brake pedal. Almost backed into neighbors car, could have backed into a child. Brakes continued to operate in similar manner until I got to the street.. Issue seems to similar to chevy Cruze recall for 1.4turbo”
