“There is a glare in the windshield from the dash. During the day when the sun hits it I have a hard time seeing pedestrians, bicyclists and small animals. Any smaller (less than an average car) sized things are distorted and hard to see. I’ve tried using the visor and it doesn’t help. I’m worried it may cause me to injure somebody or some thing.”

NHTSA complaint #11654652, filed 2025-04

“Whenever the sun is out, the glare from the dash makes it impossible to see out of the windshield without mistaking the glare for a car/deer/other animal. Since I purchased the car in the middle of the winter where, here in Michigan, we don't get a whole lot of sunshine. Now after driving for a few days in sunshine, this glare is dangerous. This needs to be fixed before people get hurt.”

NHTSA complaint #11647290, filed 2025-03

“The dash grill pattern totally blinds the driver because the sun casts a reflection or glare of this dash pattern on the entire windshield. I have come close to hitting a child in residential that was riding his bike that I didn't see because of the reflection that blinded me. Luckily, I was traveling slow enough he moved in time. I didn't see him until the side window after he moved and I drove past.”

NHTSA complaint #11688003, filed 2025-09

“The reflection of the grate on the dashboard on the windshield creating astigmatism; blurs my vision beyond the point of distraction. My eyes hurt after a short period trying to adjust to the shifting grate. I have informed my salesman at the dealership. Seeking a solution.”

NHTSA complaint #11631131, filed 2024-12

“The glare from the dashboard into the windshield blocked my view almost completely when driving on the San Francisco International Airport ramp, especially when the car was on a downhill ramp. I could not see anything in front of me for a couple seconds. This could have led to an accident should the car infront of me had breaked and stopped. The glare is also visible in normal driving conditions on sunny days and can distract my attention from the road.”
