“Brakes lost all fluid. This resulted in a loss of function for related systems including adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking. Limited braking capability put my wife and I in danger. The car was less than a week old at the time. The dealer repaired it immediately on Monday morning. Dealer attributed the problem to a loose brake line. The warning lights and e-mail messages came in after the failure.”

“I have 2023 Jayco Redhawk SE mounted on a Chevy Express 4500 Cutaway chassis with only 5300 miles on it. Chevrolet dealer ran diagnostics and replaced an ABS sensor which had no impact on the problem. I have an appointment to have it looked at by another dealership recommended by Chevy Customer Service. It is not safe to drive, going up straight steep grades on the interstate the right rear wheel keeps locking up under acceleration. Best I can tell the system just starts braking hard on the right rear and maybe both rear wheels even though you are trying to accelerate. …”

NHTSA complaint #11694814, filed 2025-10

“I lease a 2022 Equinox. February 15, 2023 I was driving from the store and began to pull in my driveway. I live on a dirt, dead end road. I turned the steering wheel and there was no reaction. The car kept going straight. I put on the brakes and the car didn't stop or slow down. I was stopped when I hit my own lamp post and a large rock at the end of my driveway. There was no warning that anything was out of the ordinary. Just no response to the steering wheel and nothing when I applied the brake. There wasn't anything different in the brakes or steering wheel, they felt normal. …”

NHTSA complaint #11511289, filed 2023-03
