“Proceeding at normal speed on hwy 14. The check engine light illuminated followed by an illumination of the traction control light. There was a loud pop sound emanating from the front the vehicle. At this point the engine stopped running and I pulled to the side of the road. The vehicle was already on fire by the time I reached the side of the freeway. By the time I was able to exit the vehicle the engine compartment was fully involved in fire and within a matter of two or three minutes the remainder of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. …”

“While driving in the baltimore harbor tunnel while my parents were following me and were able to use there hazard lights cause a two trucks were behind us my called stalled in the tunnel while going 60 miles an hour. If my parents were not behind me I would of got hit again. Gm just don't care and if you the NHTSA see that there is a real problem with this car why don't you recall this car. My car has stalled over 100 times. What have you done to find out what is the problem or have you contact GM for them to recall this car. …”

NHTSA complaint #10262727, filed 2009-03, 54,311 miles

“Driving home from work my temp light came on & my car started shaking really bad. While driving it cut off & I had to coast to the side of the road. My car never cranked bk up & had to be towed. There was also coolant leaking from the bottom. Come to find out there was a defect in my radiator because there is nothing covering it (others may want to check into this). I had to have a new engine put in my car in addition I had a faulty wire to my alternator & had to have both stabilizer links replaced about 4 days after the 1st repair. …”

NHTSA complaint #10234121, filed 2008-07, 23,340 miles

“It would be easier to list the things that are ok with this car. I've resurfaced or replaced the rotors several times (four times in one year) after consistently complaining to the dealer that it sounded like things were falling off the car. The car's braking and steering capacity is extremely diminished. I've replaced a broken stabilizer control arm and now I'm told the front end needs to be rebuilt. This damage is a direct result of the continuing problem with the rotor warping. The check engine light is on more than off and its been in at least 10 times for this issue. …”
