1996: “My vehicle failed massachusetts seat belt test. They dont lock when pulled on quickly. I have removed and inspected them and it appears to me that the mechanism itself is not capable of passing this test I am believing that the test has been implemented after the manufacture of this particular design of seat belt, and am asking if this vehicle has been grandfathered for this test there are intertia weights in them that will lock them in a collision, and I have tested this in a wide open parking lot by slamming on the brakes and they do lock but my inspection station is unwilling to recognize…”
NHTSA complaint #11383128, filed 2020-12, 196,000 miles1989: “The paint is flaking off of my truck at a very fast rate mostly on the hood and roof. I have known that this is a factory defect for numerous years and is a problem for most of these vehicles manufactured during this time period. But the factory has still not made this a recall item, and refuse to admit their mistake. Why?”
NHTSA complaint #10054725, filed 2004-01, 112,000 miles1994: “I have a 1994 chevy 1500 truck that I have found to have the same problems as are involved in a chevy recall but my truck is not included. It has exactly the same problems as the ones involved in your recall. How ever I am required to pay for this fix. I do not believe you vehicles have been looked at closely enough for all with this problem to have been included. Our wiper circuit board is not working just as all the ones that are covered. We are very dissatisfied with service at Chevrolet.”
