NHTSA complaint #10087758, filed 2004-08, 65,000 miles“I have seen recalls for other Chevrolet pickups of the same year (95) with ABS failures. I have had problems with stopping distance in low speed situations many times. The vehicle does not slow down at all for the first 25-50 feet, it seems to free-wheel. This problem has always been there. I have never received any notification of braking problems for my vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #761873, filed 2002-05“Windshield wipers fail to start about 20% of the time when turned on. Shaking the wipers will cause then to start and work correctly for a while. Vehicle has pull when brakeing after being driven for 5-10 miles. Pull is unpredictable. Sometimes right, sometimes left, sometimes not at all, and sometimes it starts to pull right, then ends up pulling left.”
NHTSA complaint #700583, filed 1998-11“Whenever shifting from drive to reverse the brakes would lock up. This happens only when reversing. This is the chassis to the winnebago. Its an erractic & intermittent problem. Has taken vehicle to dealer & was informed that the electronic hydraulic park brakes were the problem.”
