“Traveling down highway at 60mph the tracsion control light came on and the engine light started blinking followed by the truck starting to miss hard. Got to friends house changed #1 spark plug all better now at least for 1,000 miles then will have to change it again. Went through this with the last one we traded for this one. Then it developed an oil leak that's when we traded it.”

NHTSA complaint #11354579, filed 2020-09, 109,000 miles

“My traction control light and ABS light came on and the messages to service both of these systems are in my information center. My brakes are now dragging the rotors due to this problem. This is a major safety concern and a recall needs to be implemented to correct this issue. This started while driving down the highway.”

NHTSA complaint #10855372, filed 2016-04, 63,000 miles

“My traction stability light came on. Took it to the dealership where they charged me $100.00 to diagnose it and tape a sensor. A week later it came on again, I looked this issue up on the internet and everybody is having these problems. Why is this not a safety recall? I have less than 46,000 miles on my vehicle, I should not be having this issue. Gm better do something about this.”

NHTSA complaint #10865787, filed 2016-05, 45,682 miles

“Takata recall and another issue of power loss----- I have taken my truch to the dealership to have the takata air bags replaces and they told me that they do not have the parts to replace them. Power loss: I can be driving and the vehicle goes into a drastic and immediate power reduction. I have nearly bee rear-ended several times and the vehicle jerks suddenly throwing everything forward as though it is nearly a sudden stop. It will not drive over 20 MPH when this happens. It will not reset until I pull over, remove, and reassemble, the battery cables. …”

NHTSA complaint #11079577, filed 2018-03, 120,000 miles

“One night on the way home from work, I was driving 60mph and all of the sudden my truck hydroplaned. I managed to get the truck straight and regain control of the vehicle. About a week later, as I'm heading home all of the sudden my ABS, brake, and traction control lights all illuminated. The dic reads service stabilitrak and service traction control, then it will display stabilitrak off and traction control off. I had the codes read and my trouble code was p069e - fuel pump control module requested mil illumination and u0073 - control module communication bus a off. …”
