“I was driving my 2007 Chevrolet silverado when the power steering, power brakes, dashboard gauges, electronic stability control, traction control stopped working simultaneously. There was a significant loss of power and the transmission shifted violently and the vehicle jerked. I was traveling in motion on a city street with traffic present while this occurred. This nearly caused an accident as I was barely able to steer the vehicle off the road.”

NHTSA complaint #11091993, filed 2018-05, 32,000 miles“I purchased the 2007 Chevrolet trailblazer thinking I would have a good dependable car, not so. The stabil-I trac check light comes on and then when the cat is restarted it goes off. The gas gauge has dropped to empty and will no longer indicate fuel in tank, there has been a recall notice on this , however GM is only paying for 50% of the cost of repair. I had and accident ($ 2400.00) due to this gas gauge failure, no one hurt but could have been disastrous. Gm was notified and a claim filed and the results were they were not at fault. …”
NHTSA complaint #10430407, filed 2011-10, 88,000 miles“1. No events noted. 2. Check engine light illuminates and stability traction control light illuminate periodically. When ever the traction control light is on, there is a very sharp jolt in the rear end whenever the vehicles start moving. 3. Taken into the dealer twice now. No remedy. Stated they through it was the fuel being used. So I have ran several tanks of fuel through it now and it still has the lights. I have made sure I purchased fuel from large dealer such as shell or conoco to make sure fuel should be good. I will take the trunk in again this week.”
