“While driving on a two lane road at ~45 MPH,I struck a deer on the front passenger side of the truck. The air bag deployed but did not come out of the center steering. Air bag dust was coming out of the back of the steering wheel, no air bag. I was very confused. The front bumper was pushed in ~2.5 inches. I am fortunate that I did not hit another car, since the airbag malfunctioned on deployment.”

NHTSA complaint #11231839, filed 2019-07, 144,000 miles

“My front driver side top control arm broke when I hit a pole on the rear of my truck. It snapped off at the ball. I was in a parking lot and side swiped a pole at about 5 MPH. Should not have snapped a part in the front of the truck! There is a massive amount of corrosion under my truck. Even behind the rear tail light which shouldn't have been exposed, there's rust. This truck has more rust that trucks that are 30 years old.”

NHTSA complaint #11175134, filed 2019-02, 105,000 miles

“Dash has large crack directly in front of steering wheel and two smaller cracks on each side of air bag on passenger side of dash.it appears to have happened quickly as I noticed it when wiping down dash and had not noticed it last time I cleaned.”

NHTSA complaint #10937416, filed 2016-12, 120,000 miles

“I own a Chevrolet 2011 1/2 ton truck and I noticed days after I bought it that the right column between the windshield and the passanger window creates a blind spot for the driver that almost cost me an accident because I could not see a motocycle coming from my right in the intersection about to do a left turn.”

NHTSA complaint #10462581, filed 2012-06, 50 miles

“Drivers side inside handle broke. Was attempting to exit the vehicle, when the lever broke off in my hand. Had to roll window down to open the door from the outside. I would be unable to exit the vehicle quickly in an emergency.”
