NHTSA complaint #8023552, filed 2002-12, 118,000 miles

“Transmission reverse clutcehes went out at 52,000 miles. Dealer was unwilling to negotiate.. Item#2 windshiled wipers would stop working. I would jiggle wiper module and they would start. I took the truck to showcase Chevrolet and told them there was a bulletin was out and they tolfd me my truck was not covered. Iwas charged 90 plus dollars for the part and labor. I think this is a safety issue and should have been covered by the dealer.”

NHTSA complaint #724623, filed 2000-06

“After we had the truck for 2 years, I started hearing a clunking noise from the rear, when I accelerated, and when I slowed. After a few months, if I was traveling up a grade, the truck would hesitate, then make the clunking noise and lunge forward. I took it to one chevy dealer, who told me it was up to specs, then to another chevy dealer, who informed me of TSB #564401a, which is my exact problem, and provided me w/ a copy of the TSB. Although it says that the performance of the truck is not hindered, it's wrong. The clunk is becoming more frequent and louder. …”

NHTSA complaint #704625, filed 1999-03

Taken to dealer & informed by mechanic that the o rings & seals had fallen into oil pan. Had those parts replaced. The transmission was not repaired.”
