Manufacturer and dealer were notified.”
NHTSA complaint #10038335, filed 2003-09, 72,000 miles“In early may 2000, the left front tire blew out going 65mph on the highway. I was able to keep control of the vehicle and pull into the breakdown lane to replace it. The tire was a firestone steeltex at tire which was original equipment on my chen ck1500 with approx 60,000 miles. There is still adequate tread on the tires. It looks like a sidewall blowout.
