“Attempted to stop at 10 MPH driving straight antilock brake system activated, had no brakes, put transmission into 1st gear stopped 1 foot from building. Almost went through plate glass window! I just changed both my front antilock sensor's and had no effect on the loss of the brakes, they just pulsed. Owned this vehicle since 2001 and have had two antilock brake computers replaces at a cost of $800.00 each time.”

NHTSA complaint #10465331, filed 2012-07, 144,000 miles

“As I was topping the curve of an entrance ramp, I felt the rear of the truck lose traction on the wet asphalt and the tail started to move. I let off the gas pedal to gain control, and the engine continued to propel the truck as if the gas pedal was stuck. This caused the rear of the truck to continue around and slammed the front of the truck into a guard rail and finally came to a stop with truck parallel to guard rail and facing in the opposite direction of traffic. I was holding the brakes as soon as I realized the truck was out of control. …”

NHTSA complaint #10706170, filed 2015-04, 121,000 miles

“At 36,900 miles I had the rear and front pinion berrings replaced on my drive train. I also replaced the tires which were worn out. The vehicle is not driven much (4.5 years old) as indicated by the mileage. I also experienced my accelorator being stiff when I attempt to depress it. I think GM needs to look into their shoddy transmission components. I also had the rear seal replaced at approximately 10,000 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #10067759, filed 2004-04, 36,900 miles

“While traveling to work on a icy road, my accelerator stuck and I couldn't accelerate. It then released all the way to the floor board where it stuck again. I lost control of the pickup and slid into on coming traffic where I had a head on collision. The accelerator sticking was the cause of the wreck and I believe that chevy is well aware of the problem. Something must be done before it happens again.”

NHTSA complaint #10018750, filed 2003-05, 40,000 miles

“Accelerator pedal sticks. When I place vehicle into gear I must apply pressure to accelerator to release it. Subsequently it releases suddenly in a way which causes sudden acceleration. When conditions are icy this common problem will eventually get someone killed. Chevy should recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10033133, filed 2003-08, 28,000 miles
