“I have a cracked dash near the passenger air bag, I've contacted several entities about this issue and was told it couldn't be repaired due to proximity to the air bag, I then searched online and discovered that there is a class action lawsuit against GM due to faulty interior dash, if this is a safety issue, utmost definitely needs to be corrected.”
NHTSA complaint #11180850, filed 2019-02, 74,000 miles“My dash has cracked in multiple places around the passenger airbag. I have seen this on every Tahoe I looked at when I was in the market and am shocked that GM hasn't recalled the part or the NHTSA hasn't forced GM to correct the issue. What scares me is that the broken plastic might puncture the airbag or be throw if the airbag were to ever deploy.”
NHTSA complaint #10860186, filed 2016-04, 45,000 miles“Dash board is cracked above instrument panel and at passenger air bag. I fear that if air bags were to deploy fragments of dash will be sent through cabin causing injuries to passenger and driver. Cracks are so bad that center of dash where speaker is located just flops while driving. Tahoe has been garage kept since bought from dealer in 2011 and I am original owner.”

The dash was vibrating so much and it just keeps getting worse. I have looked online and apparently, I am not even close to being the only one with this problem. Please help!”

This time that said that it would be over a $1,000 dollars. I do not think I should have to pay this, I park in mine garage. I would like to be able to go get it corrected at no cost to me. I just saw that it had happen, there were no accidents.”
