“Why is NHTSA allowing sale of millions of dangerous unfixable airbag recalled suvs to be driven when the consequence is death by an allowed life threatening problem in a majority of cars on the road. Why is there no protection of innocent people here. This is unacceptable regardless of what is or isn't allowed. …”

NHTSA complaint #11310684, filed 2020-02, 1 miles

“I had no issues that would hint there was an issue with my power steering. I stopped at a drive thru, and when leaving and crossing 4 lanes to get into a lane, my power steering went out in the middle, driving less than 20 mph. I am very lucky that no cars were coming and I was able to pull into a parking lot that was across the street. My 3 kids were in the car when this occurred, and it seems this is a common occurance. This is a safety issue that needs addressed before someone gets killed.”

NHTSA complaint #11653847, filed 2025-04

“The power steering motor went out while I was driving. The message center on my dashboard alerted me just seconds before I couldn't steer. Luckily I was on a residential street and was able to get out of the road with a lot of effort steering. The car was taken to a local mechanic and we were told the power steering motor went out. The mechanic ordered the part and replaced it. The process took 3 weeks total to get the part, replace it and Chevy dealer reprogramming it.”
