“This car has multiple problems. I find that the complaints with the windows are consistent e.g. Won't roll down on passenger side front and off track driver's side front. I have water collecting on the driver's side front after lots of rain. The molding on the car whether it be the headlights or around the doors does not stay in place. The trunk vent has been replaced and the struts and sway bar had to be replace shortly after the purchase.”
NHTSA complaint #10016145, filed 2003-04, 28,000 miles“Rear, driver side trailing arm sheared from metal fatique, causing rear, driver side wheel to come off. Broken trailing arm also repeatedly bumped against brake line. Front end of car now shimmies . The replacement part is a completely different design than original part -- the original employed a u-shaped channel design, while the replacement is an enclosed cylindrical form. …”
NHTSA complaint #725055, filed 2000-07“After taking vehicle in for an alignment I was informed by mechanic that there was a problem with right power steering rack mounting bushings and the lower control arm was making a noise. He said it would cost approx. $1400.00 to correct this problem. This vehicle was well amintained and driven properly at all times. This seems a bit strange that a vehicle less than 4 years old, not driven abusively would have such a major expense repair.”
NHTSA complaint #759431, filed 2002-03“Car pulls to the left upon slowing down to a stop, driving on bumpy terrain and freeway conditions. Car has beeen in 4 times for repairs such as complete rebuild of rack and pinion, rotation of tires and alignment. Problem still exists. Steering wheel comes to rest turned left and will not bounce back to center after manuvering a left turn. Steering wheel does come back to center after negotiating a right turn.”
NHTSA complaint #706761, filed 1999-05“While driving noticed a noise coming from front end of vehicle, and vehicle was swaying. Dealer has been contacted. And indicated that rack and pinion steering needed to be replaced. Provide further information.”
