Example complaints

2006: “I was driving on the freeway with my driver and passenger side windows down when I heard a loud clapping noise coming from the 3rd window (convertible window). The window glue has begun unsticking and the upholstery and glass were coming apart. If not for immediate corrective actions the window could have flown away and into other cars behind me.”

2005: “Original owner car, limited use, garage kept in california (state of purchase). Noticed that rear window in convertible top is starting to detach on one side. I'm aware that Chrysler has an extended warranty for cars purchased in certain high humidity states, but california is outside that coverage and so am not eligible for the warranty repair, yet I have the exact same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10722916, filed 2015-06, 21,000 miles

2007: “While parked in my garage the rear window on my 2007 convertible crossfire began to separate from the top. Chrysler told me I had to take it to an upholstery shop with would cost me $750 - $1400 for a new top. I used 3m window weld and it held for a while but then began to separate again. This is the third time it has started to separate. I was told that a new top would last 1-2 years for of course $1400. I still see no recall for this defect. The problem started in 2012.”
