“My husband and I are experiencing problems recently with the car stahling out and or getting stuck in low gear while driving on the hwy, it was terrifying! We are currently not at home and have a 10 hour drive back home while driving this extremely unstable car and am honestly scared to death we are going to get in an accident! This is the 3rd battery swap we've done in 3 months but only have last 2 receipts. We have done research and this car has had electrical recall for this problem however apparently our VIN dont match up to the recall. …”
NHTSA complaint #11342023, filed 2020-07, 98,500 miles“As I was driving 70 MPH on the highway, the throttle control warning light came and the car begin to loss power and hesitate. I pulled off the road and it began to stall and jump. The car was losing power and I could not go past 45 MPH. Another problem I am having is the instrument panel light went off and I cannot see the gas gauge, speedometer, etc. The vehicle is currently sitting in the parking lot until I can get it towed to be checked and/or fixed. It currently runs, but I am afraid to drive it.”
NHTSA complaint #10783129, filed 2015-10, 120,000 miles“About 2 years ago my TPMS sensor on my driver side stop working, not even a month later my car started stalling. I would be at a light, stop sign, or pulling out into traffic and it would just stall. So I had the alternator replaced at not even 70,000 miles which solved the stalling issue. Then about a year and a half ago I noticed when I was on the interstate driving to tampa from orlando and I put the cruise control on and my car started slowing down on i4 and almost got me hit by a semi truck but he was thankfully able to swerve into the lane beside me. …”
NHTSA complaint #10991393, filed 2017-05, 95,000 miles“When I am driving and it is raining or has rained or if the car is wet there is an issue with the car skipping/ stalling out when you accelerate. This only occurs when the car is wet. It has cut completely off at an intersections before. This usually happens with speeds less than 40 MPH or you can hear and feel it pulling/ when driving at higher speeds. I thought it was the spark plugs going bad and had them replaced that they did not fix the problem. This is dangerous because you are not able to determine when it will stall out/skip. …”
NHTSA complaint #10644206, filed 2014-10, 86,000 miles“Firstly found the driver's seat belt beeps while driving with the seat belt on; one week ago, stopped by the police at night, saying all the rear lights didn't function, including the stop lights, turn signals; a self checking found all the light bulbs are good, but the front left turn signal doesn't work, both front left and rear right lights are on for a long time after shutting off engine and light switch. Yesterday I took it to olathe Chrysler shop/dealer to check up my car. They found both the multi function switch and the totally integrated power module should be replaced. …”
