“The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 09V047000 (Fuel System, Other). …”

The contact stated that while having an oil change performed, the mechanic informed him that there was a hole in the fuel tank, causing a gasoline fuel leak. The mechanic advised having the fuel tank replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 45,000.”
