While going down, consumer hit a tree which stopped the vehicle. Driver's seat back reclined, laying the consumer completely down. NHTSA complaint #10101012, filed 2004-11, 52,102 miles“On at least 2 occasions the middle left seatbelt of my Dodge Caravan has unfastened. I didn't have any explanation at the time and assumed it must have accidentally been hit. It restrains my child's safety seat, which I believe is properly installed. After viewing a report on primetime on abc, I was made aware that my van has seatbelts in the middle and back seats that are being questioned for possible failure. I believe that I may have experienced the locks being released due to sensitivity.”
NHTSA complaint #759184, filed 2002-03“The contact stated the front passenger seat belt became stuck. The seat belt did not retract and was not able to be pulled out at all. Also, the air bag warning light illuminated constantly. The vehicle was taken to a private repair shop, where the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the seat belt problem. When the air bag was tested, the mechanic stated that there was a code which only the dealer could decipher.”
