“While driving down the street the engine cut off completely. First it revved up and then cut off on while driving( in the drive mode). My son was in the car and oncoming traffic was coming in the direction. The car was then placed in park and started again. It started up and revved again and ran after that. This could have been a tragic situation. I hope you can figure out something to help me make sense of this situation.”

NHTSA complaint #10450422, filed 2012-03, 54,978 miles

“While driving my car has completely shut down at least three times. No steering, no power nothing. Also while sitting at signals or stop signs my car seems to surge occasionally, to where it feels like I have been rear-ended. It has been to the dealership twice and they said they cannot seem to replicate the problem.”

“This has been an on going problem with my car since I bought it january 2008 I have all paper work on the car. This month alone february 20, 2009 it has been in the shop three times already. It has been in the shop for tire rims, key not working, engine light coming on all the time, stereo, speakers, had another light come on and I had to tow it myself. This is a 2007 Dodge Charger v6. …”

“My 2007 Dodge Charger had coolant leaks that were repaired under warranty. I had to get a water pump replaced, under warranty. Now I am being told I have engine sludge from the engine not cooling properly. Why in the world is this not fixed under warranty?”

NHTSA complaint #10440456, filed 2011-12, 82,000 miles

“While my car was idling the electric cooling fan came apart and the fan blades impaled into my radiator. Luckily it happened right after I cranked the car and before I got on the interstate. I learned that chrysler is aware of this problem and will pay for some cars to be repaired. This is in customer satisfaction notice l-08 from chrysler. I was told my car fit the criteria of this notice, year, make, model, etc. Except the notice says severe duty fan module and according to the man on the phone my car has a heavy duty module. My car did exactly what the other cars that were covered did. …”
