“The car had an alternator and airbag recall which I tried to schedule several times but the part was never ready. While driving to work on the 880 freeway the car shut off b/c of the alternator, now I have to pay put of pocket and they are going to reimburse me and I have to rent a car for the next 2 days.. Inconvenience to no end.”

NHTSA complaint #11156023, filed 2018-12, 120,000 miles

“Check engine light comes on as im driving on a highway at 70mph and my car goes into limp mode which could of caused an accident. Cylinder 5 misfire is the diagnosis after taking it to the dealer. It appears to be a bad lifter inside of the head in which caused over 4k to fix. This is a safety hazard in which the engine failed while driving with my family inside!!”

NHTSA complaint #11057768, filed 2017-12, 107,000 miles

“Car went into battery saver mode, radio shut off, tried to make it home had to pull over and have towed, alternator was out. We just had to put another alternator on in may of year 2014, same thing, radio out, made it to auto repair shop, the part was on back order because there is such a high demand, we were told this is a common problem in this car.”

NHTSA complaint #10615118, filed 2014-07, 50,000 miles

“I gave the car fuel throttle and it stalled then died on the freeway. After being struck by another car from behind, the car started fine and still runs perfect. No check engine light. My research suggest the PCM on these cars are faulty.”

NHTSA complaint #11193431, filed 2019-04, 54,000 miles

“I was driving going about 40mph and my radio and air start going on and off by it self then I start hearing a wining noise and all the warning lights came on dash and car shut down I tried to start it and nothing info said key not detected I changed battery in remote and got a jump an hour later some thing what causes this problem.”
