Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Started with radio and dash gauges resetting to zero while driving. Most recently, the car restarted while driving. During the restart the car came to a complete halt. This is an intermittent issue on a car less than 6 months old and just at 3,500. As this is intermittent, difficult to tell what causes this problem. Problems have been going on for over a month. Date chosen was the date the car actually perform a complete restart and making it a severe safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11527741, filed 2023-06

“The contact owns a 2020 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost automotive power and the steering wheel would seize with no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle then the check engine warning light would be illuminated, and the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. …”

NHTSA complaint #11635128, filed 2025-01, 50,000 miles

“Dodge has acknowledged a known issue impacting paddle shift equipped Chargers and Challengers. When using paddle shifters, the engine will downshift when the driver upshifts, sometimes causing torque jerking and acceleration jumps. Dodge says the issue is that the driver is shifting faster than the computer is processing the shift, which is absurd. Beyond the obvious hazard this creates, it's also causing unnecessary wear on the engine due to over revving. This is a major safety concern.”

NHTSA complaint #11568295, filed 2024-01

“While traveling on the highway at approx. 70mph at night the vehicle shutdown completely resulting in the loss of throttle, power steering and lights. This is an safety issue that can cause death or serious bodily harm to the driver and other drivers along a motorway as the vehicle is no longer able to be seen in low light situations and the vehicle is unable to be properly controlled due to the loss of power steering. Issue was deemed due to loose bolts for the power distribution center.”
