“My 2000 Dodge Dakota drivers side window regulator has failed. I also own a 2001 caravan whose drivers side regulator broke 2 years ago and my 2001 durango had both left side drivers and passengers window regulator broke as well. That is now 4 windows regulators failed in less than 3 years.”

NHTSA complaint #10177028, filed 2006-12, 45,300 miles

“I began to smell horrible antifreeze/musty smell (truck had always had musty smell, but this was much worse). It was so bad that I had to turn the heat off and roll the windows all the way down and keep them that way through the dead of winter because the first time I took it in, I was told nothing was wrong. The second time I took it in, I specifically asked them to look for an antifreeze leak. Seeing as how they are mechanics, they should know this was a heater core problem. I obviously didn't know at the time. They told me nothing was wrong. …”

NHTSA complaint #10019130, filed 2003-05, 23,000 miles

“The passenger side power window failed then two weeks later driver's side window failed. The power door locks made a loud noise when locking or unlocking. Motor needed to be replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #10113498, filed 2005-05, 51,945 miles

“Upper and lower ball joints have failed. 40,000 miles on vehicle. Ball joints should last much longer than this. Dealer wants $1,200.00 to change them. Truck has already had new front drive shaft, new sway bar bushings, new driver seat cushion, new fuel injectors, new electric motor in right rear window. What has happened to ram tough . May have to go back to like a rock . Old pickup 1979 chevrolet never had ball joint problems, much less any thing else major. Thanks rick worsfold.”

NHTSA complaint #10023770, filed 2003-06, 40,000 miles

“Glass exploded into dust and lodged in my eye causing bleeding. The glass did not stay intact like windshield glass does, due to a plastic film in glass. Airbag did not deploy. Luckily I was not blinded, but I needed to repspond to the doctors three times to remove all glass from my eye.”
