NHTSA complaint #10936512, filed 2016-12, 50,000 miles

“The airbag indicator light on the dash remains on after startup. I have had this checked out 3 times by different mechanics all have said its a sensor. I have had the sensor changed which has fixed the problem for a short while, when I say a short while I mean for at least 2 miles of driving after fixing. It then comes on and remains on.”

NHTSA complaint #10659929, filed 2014-11, 80,000 miles

“From about november 2010 until I delivered the truck to thornton road chrysler Dodge to install recall p40, the airbag off and seat belt warnings, with or without a passenger, chimed and the warning lights lit up. Thornton road chrysler installed recall p40 and recalibrated front seat sensors. After I left the dealer, before I was 100 yards from the parking lot, the warning chime and lights came on and they have not gone out since. I am too angry to call the dealer.”

NHTSA complaint #10701065, filed 2015-03, 74,381 miles

“Takata air bag. I purchased a 2005 Dodge Dakota in august 2018. I took it to the dealership in october when I found out about the recall. Dealership replaced drivers side but not passenger side.I was told and shown photos of an empty space.there was no airbag or wiring.I still have no psa. Also when I test drove this vehicle it had no headlights.when I purchased it I was told they were fixed.I do not have high beams still. There are also problems with the emissions on this truck.I replaced the evap pump but still is not correct. …”

NHTSA complaint #11150765, filed 2018-11, 141,000 miles

“The airbag light came on, I took it to the dealership to have it checked out. They told me that this was not the first time that they had a truck like mine come in for the same reason, they said that it was the seat airbag sensor. They said that the sensor keeps the bags from deploying when in a wreck.”
